American depository receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.49% lower at 182.49 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Tuesday.
In North Asia, the gainers were led by JMU Limited ( JMU ), which operates a B2B online e-commerce platform, and educational services provider China Online Education ( COE ), which surged 13.4% and 5.2% respectively. Social media platform Weibo Corporation ( WB ) rose 8.9% and Korean steel company Ossen Innovation ( OSN ), surged 19%.
The decliners in North Asia were led by technology company Yintech Investment ( YIN ), and fabless semiconductor company Himax Technologies (HIMX), which fell 4.7% and 3.5% respectively. They were followed utilities provider Korea Electric Power (KEP), and automaker Toyota Motor (TM), which were down 3.4% and 2.9%.
In South Asia, the gainers were led by digital entertainment company Sea Limited (SE), and telecommunications provider Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK), which climbed 1.5% and 1.4% respectively. They were followed by IT firm Wipro (WIT), and natural resources company Vedanta (VEDL), which were up 0.9% and 0.6%.
Satellite TV provider Videocon d2h (VDTH) led the decliners in South Asia, falling 1.8%, followed by telecommunications provider PLDT (PHI), which was off 1%.
